Elementary Programs:

Dependability, trustworthiness and honesty are like links in a chain.  These are good character traits that cannot be left out of any strong and lasting relationship whether that relationship is with a friend, family member or school.  These are the traits we strive for in every school relationship in New Castle Community School Corporation.

There are approximately 1600 students attending school in one of the six elementary schools in the New Castle Community School Corporation.  Our elementary school curriculums are aligned with the Indiana Proficiency Standards and our students are assessed on mastery of standards through teacher created quarterly assessments in addition to norm referenced standardized testing conducted annually.  The elementary instructional staff regularly takes part in professional development activities to help stay current with the "best practices" of educational instruction in order to best meet individual student needs.

In order to prepare elementary students for success in secondary schools, our schools offer a wide variety of academic programs to meet the educational needs of our students.  Additionally, the New Castle Community School Corporation strongly supports the belief that our students should be given the opportunity to participate in extra curricular activities at all levels.  To accomplish this goal, our elementary schools support numerous academic clubs and sports programs that match the interests of our students.

New Castle Community School Corporation is proud to provide opportunities for employment in a multitude of areas.  Some of those areas include, but are not limited to: certified teaching staff, library technicians, buildings and grounds, food service staff, office support staff, instructional aides, and nursing staff.  All employment opportunities are posted on the New Castle Community School website.  Positions for Certified Teaching Staff are also posted on the Indiana Department of Education website.  All application materials are to be sent to the individual listed on the posting.  Applications will remain on file for a period of one year.
