Principal's Message

Dear Westwood Families,

I would like to thank all the families that were able to attend this year’s Westwood Christmas Program. What an amazing program and the students really out did themselves. It was awesome to see our Choir, Orff, and Drama Club perform. All the students did a wonderful job of singing their songs as well. It really showcased the many talents of our students. I would like to also thank our staff for their flexibility in practicing for this performance and the support that each staff member provided in ensuring this was a success. I would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Taylor for all their time and effort.

In looking ahead, students will return to school on Wednesday, January 3, and we want to ask our families to be mindful of re-establishing the necessary routines to ensure that your students are in attendance and on-time each morning to get each school day off to a great start. In addition to morning routines, we also ask our families to continue to be mindful of inclement weather. In case of inclement weather, please do not rely solely on the School Reach messaging system.  Anytime school is closed, delayed or dismissed early, it will be announced on the TV (channels 6, 8 and 13), on the radio (WMDH 102.5 FM) and listed on the New Castle Community School Corporation web page .

I want to also wish everyone an early “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” I hope you are able to spend it with family and friends.

Thanks and best wishes!

Mr. Carson
